Wildfire Rages in Southeastern South Korea, Death Toll Rises to 2
Seoul, March 28 (The Monday Times): Firefighters in southeastern South Korea are struggling to
contain a massive wildfire that continues to spread. The death toll has now risen to 27, with at least 30 others injured.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this is one of the most devastating wildfires in South Korea’s history. So far, the fire has burned approximately 35,000 hectares of land, destroying homes, farmland, and infrastructure.
Firefighters are working tirelessly to bring the blaze under control, but strong winds and dry conditions are making the task increasingly difficult. The government has declared an emergency and is evacuating residents from affected areas to ensure their safety.
