The Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders, the official cheer squad for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, prepare to visit military bases throughout Europe as part of Armed Forces Entertainment’s annual Pro Blitz campaign.
From November 14-20, the cheerleaders will perform seven shows at installations in Germany, Italy, Spain, and elsewhere. Their high-energy routines aim to boost the morale of service members stationed far from home.
Colts Cheer Has Long History with Military
This tour continues the Colts Cheerleaders’ tradition of supporting the military. The squad has been in the NFL since 1954, making it the longest-running cheerleading team in the league.
Along with cheering at Lucas Oil Stadium during Colts home games, the cheerleaders prioritize community service. Last year, they volunteered nearly 1,000 hours at various events. They strive to serve as role models, especially for young girls involved in their Junior Colts Cheer program.
The Colts organization maintains deep ties with the armed forces. Experiences like this European tour enable the cheerleaders to express gratitude for service members’ sacrifices.
